Eagles meet Niger Republic on August 15

NIGERIA’S Super Eagles will have their resumption to camp date fast-tracked from the earlier August 19, as the Nigerian football secretariat has confirmed that the team would play an international friendly against the Menas of Niger Republic on August 15.
The game will be played in the Niger capital, Niamey, and is expected to feature mainly home-based Super Eagles, as part of preparations for the September 8 Nations Cup qualifier against the Lone Star of Liberia in Monrovia.
NFF officials, who spoke on behalf of the general secretary, Musa Amadu, said that the players on the list to be released soon would report at the Bolton White Apartment camp in Abuja on August 4 and 5.
The NFF leadership has repeatedly said it would not take preparations for the tie against Liberia for granted hence the latest change in the date of resumption of the team to camp.
Super Eagles’ media officer said the list of players would be made public soon by coach Stephen Keshi, while plans are afoot for a second friendly for the team before the Liberia clash
